Privacy Policy
What we collect when you contact or book with us, how we use it, and how to reach us about it.
This Privacy Policy describes how Virginia Appliance Repair LLC (“Virginia Appliance Repair,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal information through varllc.com and when you contact us or book a service. By using this site or contacting us, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including when you fill out a form, book a service, apply for a job, or call or text us:
- Name, email address, phone number, and service address
- Appliance brand, model, and a description of the issue
- Property type and payment-responsibility details (homeowner, tenant, landlord, property manager)
- Any additional information you choose to include in a message, estimate request, or job application
We do not collect payment card information directly — payments are processed through Wix's hosted checkout and payment systems, which have their own security and privacy practices.
We also automatically receive standard technical information when you visit this site (such as pages viewed and general location from IP address) through our website platform, Wix, and through Google Ads conversion tracking — see “Cookies & Tracking” below.
How We Use Your Information
- To schedule, dispatch, and complete the appliance repair service you requested
- To contact you about an appointment, estimate, or membership — by phone, text, or email
- To process membership billing and send related account communications
- To respond to job applications and the technician ride-along program
- To improve our services and measure the effectiveness of our advertising
Text message consent (for appointment reminders, arrival windows, and service updates) is covered in our Terms & Conditions, under “Communication Consent.” Message and data rates may apply. You can ask us to stop texting you at any time by replying STOP or by contacting us using the information below.
Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business:
- Housecall Pro — our scheduling and dispatch platform, which our technicians and office staff use to manage your appointment, job, and service history.
- Wix — the platform that hosts this website, processes form submissions and bookings, and handles payment checkout.
- Google Ads — for conversion tracking on this site (see below). Google receives standard ad-click and conversion data, not your form responses.
- Service and installation partners, only when necessary to fulfill a specific request you've made (for example, a manufacturer warranty claim).
- As required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Virginia Appliance Repair, our customers, or others.
Cookies & Tracking
This site uses cookies set by our website platform, Wix, for core site functionality, and a Google Ads conversion-tracking tag that records when a booking is submitted, so we can measure which ads lead to real appointments. Google Ads may use cookies to do this. You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of Google's use of advertising cookies through Google Ads Settings.
Data Retention
We keep customer and job information for as long as needed to provide our services, honor our 90-day workmanship warranty (6 months for active members), and meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
Your Choices & Rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, at any time by calling (703) 991-6445 or emailing customerservice@varllc.com. If you're a California resident, these rights are also provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA); if you're a Virginia resident, under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA). We'll respond to a verified request within the time required by applicable law.
Children's Privacy
This site and our services are directed at adults arranging appliance repair service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices. We'll post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
